Baron Geisler Ipinagtanggol si Liza Soberano sa Mga Bashers

 Liza Soberano’s name is always on the showbiz news headlines. One of the most in-demand actresses of the generation now, Liza is also well-known for many roles she participated on movies and TV shows, and made more famous by their love-team LizQuen with real-life boyfriend Enrique Gil.

The actress was also known for being open and vocal on political and social issues on the internet, most especially when she tweeted and complained about her former internet service provider, Converge. Later on, her post on her Twitter account garnered many likes and retweets as well as posts on Facebook about the same issue went viral as well.

Liza also caught herself up on controversy when a Converge employee responded on the comments section and joked about threatening to have the actress raped on her house.The actress made it clear later on that the she won’t let the rape threat go unpunished.

Many netizens were amazed on Liza’s advocacies and guts to speak out her opinions to the public. That’s why Liza is making rounds again after she left her opinions about the controversial movie “Tililing” starring Baron Geisler, Gina Pareño, Candy Pangilinan, and Donnalyn Bartolome, directed by Darryl Yap.

According to Liza’s tweet, she was not fond of the idea of the movie poster seemingly making fun of people with mental illness or disabilities.

“Really hoping that this movie will spread awareness and enlighten us on the struggles of dealing with mental health. But the poster? It’s a no for me. Mental health is NOT a joke. Stop the stigma.” Liza wrote.

Netizens were quick to react and bash the actress for her criticisms towards the movie that’s why one of the stars of the movie, Baron Geisler, stepped in and intervened with all the attacks directed towards Liza Soberano.

Baron Geisler wrote, “Please don’t bash Liza. Please be kind. Sometimes we get overprotective with our advocacies. She did not mean to look down on our poster. I believe she meant well folks. Please be kind. Masakit ma-bash naranasan natin lahat yan one way or another.”

Netizens applauded Baron for defending Liza Soberano and her advocacies towards raising mental health awareness.

Liza responded by thanking the veteran actor for fending off the bashers that misinterpreted her intentions in posting her criticism towards the upcoming film directed by Darryl Yap, known for his short-films and clips Vincentiments.
