Pia Wurtzbach being the crowned Miss Universe in 2017 followed by Catriona Gray in 2018, many young Filipinas aspire to follow their footsteps and become beauty queens with advocacies.

Actress and Star Magic talent Kira Balinger, dreams of becoming the next Miss Universe when the time is right.

Kira is undeniably one of the most famous rising-stars in Star Magic, landing on her first big role in the show “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin”. Many consider her to become the next Miss Universe as she definitely possess the qualities of becoming a beauty queen. With her radiant beauty, charisma and being well-articulated, no doubt she is possible to be the next title-holder.

But according to her recent interview, the 20-year-old actress shares her plans to join the pageant when the time is right for her. On her virtual conference, she also mentions that she dreams on becoming one, and with the country’s obsession on the prestigious title, it also drives her more to pursue her dream to be a beauty queen.

She also added that it may not be now, but when she is ready, joining the beauty competition is definitely on her bucket list. She mentions that right now, acting is her main focus and she is happy with the projects that the network provided for her. Acting makes her happy is currently her priority.

In her current acting project, Kira Balinger portrays the role of Hope, in their show Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin which she co-stars with premiered actresses such as Iza Calzado (as Ellice) and Jodi Sta. Maria (as Marissa) who both portrays the role of the mothers of her and her love interest in the show, Jake, who is played by actor Grae Fernandez.

As for beauty pageants, Kira also said that she is relatively young to join the competition but she is still finding her advocacy as Miss Universe not only qualifies on the outside beauty, but also the heart for civic-work, which she said that she is not familiar with. However, she considers on exposing herself with social work in order to find her advocacy and determine what she can do to the betterment of the world.

Catriona Gray is definitely one of her inspirations as they met one time in January, which brought the young actress to tears as she was her idol. She left a remark for the beauty queen which she said, “I hope someday I could be like her.”
