A woman from China was in disbelief  upon knowing that she lost a part of her ear after she underwent a plastic surgery to modify her nose.

Zhao, a 31-year-old Chinese woman decided to undergo a plastic surgery called rhinoplasty, in order to correct or modify the nose for beautification purposes. Little did Zhao know that she will lose a part of her ear for her surgery!

According to Zhao, the doctors did not inform her of the procedure and that they will have to take a part of her ear to add up to her nose in the process of her rhinoplasty. It was in September when Zhao had gone under the knife in the Angel Wing Hospital in Chingdu, China. She also added that this is her second time undergoing the said procedure but this time it was a little different than what she had 5 years ago.

However, this time, she encountered problems with the surgery upon knowing that the surgeons had removed a part of her ear called tragus, a small part of the ear near the opening.

Zhao informed the media that the process went well, however a few days after her surgery, she noticed that her tragus is missing which she immediately filed a complaint against the hospital that performed her operation.

She stated that the hospital did not inform her of the removal of the part, and that it will be used for her nose surgery. Zhao was very angry and disappointed with the hospital and filed cases against it.

She sent a photo to the hospital as proof of the botched surgery but the hospital replied that they decided to use the tragus for the rhinoplasty because if they will use the back part of her ear, it might affect her hearing and can possibly lead to deafness.

However, Zhao was not convinced and demanded a full refund, so she consulted other doctors and their opinions stated that it is normal to take other parts of the body for the surgery to be possible. Also, the hospital defended that Zhao has signed an agreement which stated that the doctors will be using a certain part of her ear.

Because of this, the hospital remained resilient with their statement and indicated that they should not be held liable to Zhao’s claims against them.
