Truly, it is really saddening to hear that there are people who are suffering from homelessness and hunger that they had to resort to begging on the streets for food and alms. These beggars have no food to eat, nor a bed to sleep on during the night. The streets have become their home, and the harshness of life have really taken a toll for some who have lived all their lives as beggars.

Stories of gold-hearted strangers and good Samaritans that help these beggars are truly heartwarming and inspiring to hear, especially for the youth who was considered to be the hopes of future. One story inspired a lot of people, and these are teens from the town of Davao de Oro who gave an amazing makeover to this old man begging in the streets.

 

Posted on the official Facebook page of Provincial of Davao De Oro, the story went trending all over social media about the seven teens who gave food, shelter, and a makeover to this old man who had lived on the streets all his life. Posts of photos with a heartwarming and inspiring message for people to do good deeds especially to those who are in need.

The teens gave the old man a makeover. They bathed him clean, gave him a nice haircut to his long gray hair, and even a nice shave to his bear that has grown over the years. Altogether, they also gave him clothes to wear. The young boys also provided him food to eat and took him in on a shelter so he wouldn’t have to spend his life on the streets.

Later on, people knew that the boys were sacristans on the community church. The young boys have been doing acts of good will towards people who are in need and many netizens were amazed by their good work.

 

Lots of compliments came rushing down to the boys. Many also mentioned that the boys were indeed, true servants of God for their good works and compassion to the poor. According to them, the boys have really lived up to the words of the Lord and that they may also serve as young apostles to God as they have proven themselves worthy of his Kingdom. Many were also inspired and encouraged more and more youth to join the same cause as the young teenage boys in the featured story.
